At what age were your son(s) when you had THE TALK with them?

My eldest is 12 and he asked me to sort out some settings on his phone. I checked his browsing history which was a shock (nothing nasty - just that it's my little boy) and then went to see what he had been viewing on YouTube and it was similar.
After this thought it best to have the talk. He was mortified at first but seemed to relax after a while once I said all boys do this to some degree including me back in the day.

I never bothered having The Talk with my son. It all worked out ok, though. He's 20 now, and dating a very nice hat stand.

my 'talk' was as a young teenager - during a tv prog that involved scenes of a sexual nature my mother said "if you are going to do anything like that make sure you take precautions".
That was it!
